Hosts Scott Miller and David Sladkey of Naperville Central High School in IL talk about a lesson involving Filling in the Missing Pieces.  This lesson structure shows how you can give a simple definition in notebook and still engage students minds. The tip of the day deals with making regular shapes in smartboard like a perfect circle, or hexegon or any shape.  Also described in this episode is a activity that you can have your students do when in the middle of class to get their brains and bodies moving a little bit called rocks, paper, scissors, Math.  Lastly we cover how to make a brain based activity in powerpoint.  We export a smartboard document to powerpoint and then change some settings in powerpoint to make it a timed activity.

In this episode hosts Scott Miller and Dave Sladkey explore how to use the memory game in class.  They show an example of equivalent fractions, but this game can be used for a variety of uses. In today’s tutorial we show how to make a new folder in the gallery.  Then once you have made a new folder, you can put different items in the gallery for future use.
