Episode 61 Smartboard Category Sorting and a Jeopardy Template

In episode 61 we cover a teaching template called category sorting with named categories. This is a great template for higher order thinking.  The students may or may not be able to quickly idenify the categories that are within all of the items on a slide.  This template is available from our website at http://teachingwithsmartboard.com.  Go to the resources tab and then find the teaching templates collection file.

We also cover a Jeopardy template in smartboard that was given to us by a listener.  It is very easy to edit and is a great review for your classes. Enjoy.

Lastly, we made a igoogle button on our website so that you can add our blog to your igoogle homepage and know whenever we upload a new podcast.

Oh yeah, don’t forget the new jokes that we have this week.  We have a site for you to go to to check out a bunch of new clean fun 4th grade humor jokes.

    Hello,
Thank you for all that you do! I visited your old website quite frequently and am looking forward to the new one. However, I cannot seem to open any of your templates in the resources page.
The only files I can open are the word documents. Please help.

    Deanna,
Thanks for the comment. Yes. We are having problems with the downloads on the new site. I’m not exactly sure why. However, here is what we have come up with. If you are using Firefox, you must right click and “Save to” a location on your computer, and then open it. If you are using Safari, you will have to “save link as” and then delete the .html in the extension and it should work fine. We are hoping to solve these problems soon. Dave

Thanks so much! Saving the file and then opening it worked!
